This was along I-64 on Friday afternoon.  Not a hint of rain.  Beautiful drive. Gas in Louisville at $3.35:  Sam's at Blankenbaker.

Milton, WV  Our stop for the night.  We were parked just across from this.  Arrived just before dark.  Jerry got the windshield clean after all the bugs we found this afternoon.  We had dinner and I fed the local black and white kitty.  Looked like Snizzlefritz.  Nancy's cat that was wilder than wild.  But finally tamed down....I think.
It just sat out between the campers and cried until I fed it.  It nearly joined us in the camper but was a bit too scared to do that.

This was our $20 spot.  Water and electric.  The campers up on the top level had full hook-ups but we didn't and that was fine.  Who can worry at $20 per night.  I heard the water running in the creek.  Jerry heard the four trains that went by on the other side of the creek.  I guess sleeping with trains running is a learned trait.  Thanks to my  visits to Aunt Hattie's in my younger days, I don't hear the trains unless I don't know they are around.  (She lived very near a busy train track.)

Command central on our trip today, Saturday.  We had rain much of the morning and it was enough that we went a bit slower than normal.  Meaning we arrived at the York PA Expo center at 4:59 p.m.  They still parked us.  Pictures of our camping spot tomorrow.

Color is beginning to be seen in PA.  At least I think this was PA.  PA, MD, WV, hard to tell...other than it was not raining at the time of the picture.
Our route:  I-64, I-77, I79, I-81, Rt 30, and Rt74 to the Expo Center.

Here we are in downtown Gettysburg.  We drove though the battlefield areas I think on 30.  But here was like being in Nashville,  IN during October.  Although maybe we moved a bit faster than there.  Driving through roundabouts with the camper was tricky.  I nearly wiped out some pedestrians because they were hidden by the mirror.  Got stopped before I earned any points though...thank goodness.

We have now learned that Jerry is Chairman of the Safety Committee, still don't know what the duties are but know the Co-Chairman so we think all will be good.
I am Chairman and sole person for the Newsletter.
Thought we might get some touring in before the stuff started.  If we do, it looks like Sunday will be the day for that.

Take care.  Hope all is well with everyone.
