We left the campground north of Atlanta about 9. We pulled in to this campground about 2:30. NO STOPS. Gas fill up as we exited I-95 and the campground was just hop down the road.
The trip was great. The lanes through Atlanta seemed to have shrunk since the last time I drove through there. But we made it without any issues. (Maybe it was because we are driving a larger vehicle...not that the lanes were smaller.)
We saw lots of water where we didn't think it would normally have been and also several work crews clearing downed trees along the way.
We settled in to the campground, had dinner with Keith and Becky and now are ready for a long restful night.
Becky and I will tour Savannah on the trolley while the boys are following the little white ball around a course near here. They may have to come get us before the trolley would bring us back if we give out before the scheduled return.
Thanks to all who have given us information about what to see and where to eat. We will try to get some of that in the schedule. It seems like there is no way to go wrong with all the stuff there is to do here.
Of course we will be looking for Paula Dean and her sons to pop up somewhere on the tour! :)
Night.
