One of the many in the herd that crossed in front of us. You can see a small number of the herd in the background. |
our first bison sighting. this is the one that was out by himself and waited until we passed by then abled on out into the roadway and just keep walking along behind us. |
and another tunnel. All of these are one way of course. |
view of the valley just past the needle tunnel |
there is a tunnel though here somewhere. People were rock climing along the side of this one. and then on the other side were views of the valley |
Fun to see the Needles Hwy again, and you really got the Wildlife, too! We thought we would never see the bison, and none of them were that close! We didn't see the begging donkeys, either....so, you did indeed get your money's worth! We did that same drive in the truck, with the outside mirrors tucked in at one place I think. We never made it into Keystone...
ReplyDeletePat,
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed following your trip. Some things remind me of our western trip. You remind me of myself when I was younger. Needing to get something done all of the time. Now that I have the time I don't accomplish near as much.
