So off we went. Caught the noon ferry over and the six o'clock one back. We went on as foot traffic leaving the car in the parking lot on the vancouver side and picking up a double decker bus to take us downtown to the waterfront and the parliment buildings.
There were celebrations everywhere downtown. On the waterfront we were able to see rowing competitions and lots of other festival tents and items for sale. The weather was HOT here 92 degrees. We rode outside on the ferries baked on the way over and had to use the wind shirts on the way back. The sky was hazy on the water but clear in town. Very friendly people very willing to assist the visitors.
It was 8:30 by the time we arrive back at the camper which was 98 degrees because the breaker on the box had kicked....thank goodness for a refrigerator that kicks over to gas automatically when the electric isn't running. Good sleeping weather last night though after getting the camper back to the outside temperature we slept with the windows open and I actually have a space heater on at the moment.
Just caught up on your posts...we ended up camping Sunday night at Woods & Waters with Dave & fam. S.M. folks are enjoying your blog, too!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures, of course, and glad the Rally went well. Sounds like all issues have been fixed!
