Work after a long day on the road

Today we traveled from St. Joseph, MO through Nebraska mostly on I-80 and have stopped on the edge of Cheyenne, WY at a KOA. The trip was mostly smooth roads and smooth sailing even through the work zones. The work zones were reduced speeds.....reduced was 65! Speed limits were 75 in most of the state.

We saw a real cowboy riding his horse on the ranch to the south of the interstate.

We found a gas stop at 2.56 when the rest of the stations closer to the interstate were 2.84. Then the rest. close to the station said buffet....it was Chinese Buffet and was great. Even had peel and eat shrimp. That was our late lunch. Dinner was about 9 p.m. east coast time.

Another great day.

Lots and lots of hay, corn, and even a sunflower field along the roads today. A few oil wells were along the side of the road in Western Nebraska.

We are parked next to nice people this evening. One couple from Alberta, CA has given us lots on insights into the end of our Canadian trip and we might even get in touch with them while we are in the area.

The other couple is just returning from the North Dakota area and had a few tips.

We are sitting with the camper all open and are enjoying the dry air.
