We left Redmond, OR from the fairgrounds where the FMCA convention is still going on. We left about 8 this morning and stopped at the local Water Works where they had a credit card operated dump station. So much better than the set up when we left Bowling Green, but then this area has several camping groups at the fairgrounds over a year's time.
We stopped and filled up the camper a little ways up 97 before we started doing too much climbing.
Our route today was 97, 26, I-84, I-205, I-5, Washingon 573, BC15-TransCanada 1, to exit 37 and here we are at the campgrounds. None of the write-up about the campground prepared us for the railroad/commuter train that runs about two campsites behind us and sounds like it is coming through the camper. I'll take pictures sometime while we are here.
The scenery today went from desert to pine trees and mountains. We left Mt. Jefferson near the campground to Mt. Hood, Mt Reneir, Mt. St. Helen, Mt. Baker were along the route to our destination. Each of these mountains are snowcapped and here we are in August.

Maybe a mountain out there but this is the WA roadway. |
