Tuesday, August 10.
No pictures today. Didn't even have the camera out of the camper.
More tomorrow, maybe. Jerry will be in his all day meeting. I will run out to see if I can find a car wash. Tomorrow night the new camper show will be opening. Thursday morning the vendor area opens. Oh, and there are seminars of all kinds that will start on Wednesday too. I have a few circled to check out.
The furnace was a necessity early this morning (50 degrees outside) and then shorts were needed before noon! This West Coast weather is GREAT. And with nearly 1900 campers here it is so quiet at night that we could hear a pin drop outside....and there are no noises for the most part.
We will have a new windshield before we leave Redmond. The rock that hit us was on the driver side and the insurance company is not excited about a patch on that side. Those guys have been busy everyday. So have the repair shops. The little problems we have had are nothing at all compared to what some of the folks have faced along their trips. As many rough roads as we encountered I am surprised sometimes that any of us get to our destinations without loosing the entire camper along the way.
So far we have only seen two other Indiana licence tags, but it is hard to tell where all those Montana tags really belong.
We found out today that our phones are supposed to work in some of the Canadian towns but the cost is back to a per minute basis...so we won't be talking very long. The internet card should work as well but again there is an additional charge for it. However, I believe it is more reasonable so we'll try more emails rather than phone calls during that week.
We have enjoyed meeting several couples as we walked around and attended meetings today. I actually sat in on the National Director briefing until the glass folks called. That was more than enough for me. I am glad that is Jerry's post and not mine and that he enjoys it (for the most part).
Take care all.
Happy Anniversary to Bob and Rita.
Continued prayers for Bob and Jean.
