Vancouver to Candian Rockies/Glacier in Canada

Hello all.
We have had a busy day.  This morning before we left the campground Jerry washed the camper at the Campground.  They provided facilities to wash the RV so he got really busy this morning.  We were still  loaded and pulling out by 9:30 a.m.  with our shiny camper.

Then we traveled Trans-Canada 1 to Hope, and Canada 5 until we ran into 1 again.  We just beyond Glacier off of 1.

Roads were great.  Most were four lane with wide shoulders.  Some of it was two lane with wide shoulders.  Several tunnels.  Many 6% grades with extra truck lanes for slow vehicles.  Several times today we passed by 4800 ft  Elevations and were still looking way, way up at the rest of the mountains.

Photo ops were all around, but we could not even begin to get a picture that would communicate the vastness of this land.  "WOW!" was heard from us over and over as we progressed EAST.

It is hard to remember the direction to look for on the road signs.  We now need East rather than West.

We pulled into the campground around 5:30 West Coast time but 6:30 Mountain time.  We crossed a time line on the mountain a little ways back from the campground.

We have been blessed with beautiful though HOT weather.  We traveled today with windows open all day but it was still rather warm inside the camper.  We stopped at Petro Canada to fill up in Hope just to make sure we didn't have a problem with getting fuel.  1.06  a liter.  Okay now figure that one out for me.  We have not figured mileage on the trip yet.  So I am not starting in with the conversion factor day.

We saw tunnels for going through rock, and tunnels to protect from avalanches.  We hope not to see snow any closer than on the mountain peaks. Oh we also saw a mountain call Macdonald.  Jerry took a picture for Stephen.

Hello Susan!
Hello Cooper!  Tierney, Tobin and Carla!
Hi Selena and Mikey, and Mary!
Hi Felica, Kit, and Rusty!  Jerry says the office here had two cats.  I missed them when we checked in.  Hard to believe I missed them.
